Create an IoT block diagram in a single day: analysis and architecture
The design houses Antennity and Embever invite you to a hands-on workshop. In just one day, we’ll turn your initial IoT idea into a robust product architecture. We ensure transparency at an early stage, prepare the ground for technical decisions and lay the foundations for development.
Based on your specifications, we will develop a secure, updatable IoT solution step by step. Together, we will select the appropriate wireless technology, suitable modules and system-on-chip. In doing so, we will take into account both licensed and unlicensed radio bands. In addition, we will analyse the interaction between the cloud, firmware and smartphone app, and define interfaces, enclosures and power supply. We will review costs and the bill of materials.
The workshop combines technical depth with a clear focus on feasibility. We consider scalable roll-out strategies and regulatory requirements, including those from the KRITIS Framework Act, the CRA and the Ecodesign Regulation. Relevant application areas include metering and tracking, where 5G eRedCap and 5G NTN open up new possibilities. On request, we integrate solutions for care, healthcare and other IoT applications. In addition, we provide insights into innovative antenna concepts.
KEY TOPICS
- Selecting wireless technology and modules or SoCs.
- Create a block diagram and a coherent system architecture.
- Coordinate hardware, software and mechanical components.
- Assess the bill of materials and costs.
- Identify risks and devise mitigation measures.
- Define a roadmap for development and implementation.
YOUR GOAL
Our aim is to develop a viable product architecture from your IoT idea and to provide technical clarity for the next steps. Based on your specifications, we will devise a secure, updatable and implementable solution to serve as the foundation for development.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT
Once the requirements have been clarified, the structure defined and the design validated, you will receive:
- a block diagram as a PDF
- a high-level architecture including interfaces
- a recommended choice of wireless technology and MCU/MPU, with justification
- an initial bill of materials (BOM) with a cost estimate
- a list of risks and mitigation measures
- A roadmap with milestones (0–3–6 months)
CUSTOMISED WORKSHOP — TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS
We will agree the workshop content with you in advance. Once you have booked, you will receive a questionnaire which our experts will analyse to tailor the topics specifically to your IoT device.
