It all started with a brainstorming session with 8 participants to find the best place for an antenna on the bike. Cyclists are purists and don’t want to spoil the look of a bike costing 5000 to 15000 Euro with other objects. Under the saddle is possible, but sometimes the saddle is removed. There is no rear light on mountain bikes. Under the bottle holder is possible, but not always available. In the handlebars is critical because it destroys the tracker in the event of a fall. The escooter has no saddle, no bottle holder and no seat tube. The customer has decided in favour of the fork shaft. The further the cap extends from the tube, the better the receiving. Even 1 mm makes a difference. Several functional samples were built and finally a compromise between aesthetics and function was found. The photo was taken at a trade fair. Unfortunately, this innovative idea never went into mass production.
