Empowering Your Team Through Expert Knowledge

At Antennity, we recognize the importance of sharing knowledge. Our extensive training programs aim to enhance your team’s expertise in IoT technologies and antenna design. We are dedicated to cultivating talent and promoting innovation in the fast-paced world of wireless communications. The following training was focussed on Bluetooth at the customer’s request. The training can be matched to your company’s requirements.

Tailored Learning Experiences

Training sessions is customised to meet diverse needs:

  • Beginner: Courses for IoT engineers without skills in antenna design
  • Role-Specific Content: Tailored for HW and SW  engineers in the same project team
  • Focused: Customised on 2400 MHz for Bluetooth project

1. Integration of antennas in IoT devices

This multi-day training course with practical measurement exercises provides participants with the skills to independently measure integrated antennas and develop matching networks. This enables them to save time and costs in the development of wireless IoT devices. There is a one-day break between each training session for independent measurement exercises. The training includes both licence-free and licensed antenna layouts.

1.1 Equipment required

1.1.1 Measuring devices and software

1 MegiQ VNA with the latest firmware

1 Atyune (latest version) installed on customer PC

1 MegiQ software (latest version) for VNA installed on customer PC

1 MegiQ calibration board

1 MegiQ Sandbox

1.1.2 Antenna kits and modules

1 Antennity antenna kit small

1 Antennity antenna kit large

10 Antennity antenna kit PCBs large (unequipped)

1 Antennity measuring antenna

1 Antennity set 2400 MHz antenna modules, tuned to evaluation kit kit (licence-free, 4 x 3 modules)

10 Antennity 4G/5G antenna modules, tuned on evaluation kit (based on the Abracon patent)

1.1.3 Calibration and cables

1 SMA calibration kit (open, load, short)

10 coaxial cables 20 cm (SMA to U.FL)

1.1.4 Antennas and components

1 Bluetooth stubby antenna

1 LTE stubby antenna

1 set of tuning components from Würth

1.1.5 Test boards

10 test PCBs with 868 MHz IFA S antenna and 2400 MHz loop antenna (PCB from large kit unassembled)

10 customised PCBs based on the antenna modules for 2400 MHz (size of the customer’s Bluetooth gateways)

These test boards are taken from the unpublished antenna kit. The antenna modules are now available in three different sizes to optimally cover 400 MHz to 10000 MHz. For 2400 MHz we use the smallest licence-free antenna module.

1.1.6 Available at the customer’s premises

1 camera with USB cable for video transmission of the measurement objects

Coins: 1 cent, 2 cent and 5 cent

This comprehensive equipment enables participants to gain practical experience with different types of antennas and measurement methods. The training offers a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application to effectively learn how to integrate antennas into IoT devices.

The necessary components and tools are provided by Triptec and must be available before the start of lesson 2.1.

1.2 Time required

The time required for the training including preparation, training and follow-up is 8 hours x 4 days. Triptec will provide all the necessary materials. If materials are already available in the offer, the order item can be omitted. The training plan focuses on 2400 MHz antennas and can be matched to any other frequency range and radio technology.

2. Training plan: Integration of antennas in IoT devices

This multi-day training course with measurement exercises aims to provide participants with the skills to measure integrated antennas themselves and develop matching networks. This enables time and cost savings in the development of wireless IoT devices. There is a one-day break between each training session for independent measurement exercises. Both licence-free and licensed antenna layouts are used.
