About
Antennity is a service introduced by Harald Nauann designed to simplify the lives of IoT developers. Our venture into wireless communication started in the 1990s, and we have remained committed to this journey ever since.
Our Story
In the 1990s, we were content with trunked radios operating at 9600 bit/s. These devices were both costly and bulky. Fast forward to today, and radio modules featuring technologies like NB-IoT, LTE-M, 5G-NTN, LoRaWAN, Sigfox, Mioty, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and many others weigh just a few grams.
However, the fundamental physics remain unchanged. Integrated antennas still need a ground plane relative to the wavelength. Fortunately, antenna simulation tools have improved in quality and decreased in cost, making custom antennas much more affordable. As a result, the downward price trend continues.
Eldery care sensor with infrared sensor on GSM and WiFi
In this eldery care sensor, the cellular chip antenna was replaced with a flex PCB antenna with coax. This resulted in significantly better signal reception.
